Qui suis-je ? / Who am I?


 

Vaelyane rêve de narrer ses propres contes depuis sa plus tendre enfance. C'est durant son adolescence, en étudiant l'Histoire des Arts, que s'est révélé à ses yeux le pouvoir des images, ainsi que l'intérêt à la fois esthétique et narratif d'un visuel bien construit. La combinaison de ces facteurs lui donna l'envie d'illustrer son monde intérieur à son tour.

Toujours en quête de nouveaux horizons créatifs à explorer, l'artiste strasbourgeois·e est particulièrement attiré·e par la nature, l'imaginaire, le merveilleux, et arbore un goût particulier pour le monde médiéval, ce dernier lui venant de sa ville natale si pittoresque et teintée d'histoire... Bien qu'iel ne s'y limite pas. C'est avec joie et anticipation qu'iel crée ses visuels fantasques, lorsque sa santé le lui permet.

  Vaelyane has been dreaming of weaving their own stories since their early childhood. They discovered the power of images during their teenage years, while they studied Arts History, as well as the invaluable aesthetic and narrative strengths of a well-thought-out picture. These factors sparked in them a strong desire to illustrate their colourful inner world.

Always looking for new creative endeavours to explore, the French artist is particularly drawn to nature, the imaginary, the fantastical, and demonstrates a strong penchant for the medieval world, most likely inspired by the rich history of their picturesque hometown of Strasbourg... Although they stray off the familiar path whenever needed. It is with great joy and anticipation that they bring life to their illustrated fantasies, whenever their health allows.
